The past couple weeks news has been fairly quiet for the Stampede Shake Down Incentive Program. However, that has all changed and this past week as the pieces have began to fall into place. The Shake Down got confirmation from its first entrant for the 2020 season as Jeff Massingill of Keewatin Minnesota, confirmed to be in attendance as a part of the Stampede Shake Down program.
Jeff is a fierce competitor in the heart of Wissota Late Model country as he competes on a regular basis at Grand Rapids Speedway (Grand Rapids), Gondik Law Office Speedway (Superior), Hibbing Speedway (Hibbing), and the Halvorline Speedway (Proctor). He has raced in North Dakota 3 times so far this season with a third place finish at the River Cities Speedway. His third place Seitz Memorial feature finish in 2016 is his most notable North Dakota feature finish. This year has seen solid results for him as he has 10 top 5's and 16 top 10's. Jeff has found victory lane numerous times over his career and will certainly be one of the odds on favorites for each night of the Jamestown Stock Car Stampede this year. So race fans, keep an eye on the 6M as it will be navigating its way to the front of the pack!
The Stampede Shake Down Incentive Program is still on the hunt for more new or returning late models. If you happen to know of a driver who would be interested and falls into the criteria of the program, have them get a hold of us at either the Stampede Shake Down Facebook page or shoot an email to thedakotadirt@gmail.com. The criteria still remains as previous years: drivers eligible are those who have not ran the Stampede Late Model portion of the show or have not raced the Late Model portion of the Stampede in the past 5 years. Remember this program is a first come and first served program. We have some drivers currently who are interested so there will be no reserving spots for drivers who may be on the fence.
