In a time where nothing seems certain and well all seems so questionable, there is one thing that will remain certain if there is a 2020 race season. What is that certainty? It is the fact that the Stock Car Shake Down will be returning in full force to help promote and to strengthen the late model portion of the Jamestown Stock Car Stampede.
Last year saw a great variety of drivers partaking in it as Derek Vessel led a great number of laps while Howie Schill made a shocking return to the drivers seat after coming out of retirement for the race. Other drivers saw Trent Grager and Virgil Randal be apart of the field for the weekend. This group would represent one of the strongest group of competitors that the Shake Down has fielded. This year looks to be no different as the people at the Shake Down look to bring in another strong and diverse field of drivers.
While the race season may have not started yet the work behind the scenes is already going to help provide the racers and fans an exciting experience for the 49th annual Jamestown Stock Car Stampede. The Stampede is probably one of the most revered race in North Dakota only to be rivaled by the Seitz Memorial when it comes to bragging rights and history (at least for late models). It remains a race that is still an honor to win as some of North Dakota's best battle to put their name on the prestigious list of drivers to have conquered the fields.
Drivers and fans we know it's a long ways out, but if you know a driver who has not participated in the late model portion of the Stampede for the last five years let them know to contact us and we will begin discussions with them.
