Wissota late models have had many dominant drivers in the past, Mitch Johnson, Rick Aukland, Leon Plank, Jerry Redtzke, and many more. Then came the next wave of stand out drivers that we see today, John Kaanta, Darrell Nelson, Jeff Provinzino, Dustin Strand, Chad Becker, Curt Gelling, and more. Well, our fifth entrant for the Stampede Shake Down Incentive Program represents the next generation. In his rookie season, Chase Gelling has found success as he has scored a pair of top ten finishes at Miller Speedway. Chase, the son of Curt, is well on his way of what looks to be a very promising racing career. We are very happy to have Chase make the tow up from Aberdeen to compete with us this year.

In other news for our drivers, please don't forget to sign up for the Calcutta! The Calcutta is a really great part of the Jamestown Stock Car Stampede. Thursday night will see all of the drivers participating in the Stock Car Stampede auctioned off to the fans, crews, and drivers. The proceeds of the Calcutta go back to the bidder with the winning driver, the winning drivers of each class, and to a charity. This is just one more aspect that makes the Jamestown Stock Car Stampede so unique and special. This year is a unique year as each night every class will run a feature. 2020 has been a unique year but the Jamestown Stampede looks like it will be one to remember!
